Hiring Caring and Supportive Caregivers Statewide

At WellCare Support, our in-home caregivers are the most important members of our team. Our clients and our caregivers are supported by staff members that pride themselves on providing superior client care.

All attendants must have a PCA or CNA certification to be eligible for paid work assignments.

Position: Personal Care Attendant

Minimum Qualifications

At least one year experience in a home health agency, hospital, hospice, or long term care facility; This experience shall be verified by a previous employer and verification maintained in the employees personal file; or
A certified Nursing assistant/aide; a copy of this certificate shall be available maintained in the employee’s personnel file; or
Completion of a 40-hour training course that meets or exceeds the requirements set forth in the “Rules Regulations for Private Care Agencies in Arkansas.” A copy of this certificate or documentation of successful completion of the training curriculum shall be maintained in the employee’s personnel file; or
Have demonstrated competency in providing basic nursing care as a nursing student with documentation from Director of programs or the Dean of school of Nursing attesting to such competency in accordance with the school’s curriculum.
Must be able to pass a state background check.

Job Responsibilities

Adheres to the company’s Code of Ethics and all other agency policies and procedures;
Understands and utilizes the concepts of person directed care, maintaining respect for the rights, dignity, and inherent value of all clients, family members, and coworkers.
Safeguards client rights and confidentiality according to the agency’s policy and procedure;
Arrives on time for assignments and fulfills the time authorized on the clients plan of care for each service;
Completes accurately and submits to the administrative office the weekly services from, according to agency policy;
Provides high quality, innovative services in a caring manner;
Attends and completes orientation and annual in service education as required by the agency’s policy;
Communicates to the Registered Nurse any changes in the client’s status or concerns about the safety of client’s home environment, as well as any questions about scope of practice & what task may be included or excluded;
Reports to agency RN abuse or neglect, or suspicion, in accordance with the agency’s policy and procedure.
